Stop the
Harassment

You have legal rights. We can help.

Every year, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau receives thousands of complaints from consumers who claim to have been harassed by debt collectors. These debtors felt so threatened by the collector’s demands that they sought legal counsel to bring the unwanted contact to an end.

How Your Rights Fall Under the FDCPA

The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, also known as the FDCPA does not allow collection agencies from behaving in ways that alarm, humiliate, and cause distress to consumers. It restricts what these debt collectors can do to collect a debt, and bans tactics like those listed below.

  • Ignoring a cease communications notice
  • Using an autodialer to leave a slew of pre-recorded messages
  • Using profane or obscene language
  • Calling you at inconvenient times and places, such as before 8:00 a.m. and after 9:00 p.m. in your time zone
  • Calling you while you’re at work

If United Mediation Services, LLC is calling you, the information regarding that debt collection agency is below.

United Mediation Services, LLC is a debt collection company located in Union City, Georgia. It was established in 2015, has less than 10 employees, and it’s run by owner, Michael S. Thornton.

Legal records that were archived by PACER (Public Access to Court Electronic Records) suggest that people who believed they were being harassed by United Mediation Services, LLC dealt with it by filing a lawsuit against them.
